WordPress Theme Portfolio
In 2020 I started tinkering WordPress sites and taking some courses in Platzi. I wanted to do freelance work on WordPress sites.
In 2021 I took a job as a Ruby on Rails fullstack developer, and I put WordPress aside. From 2021 to January 2025 I’ve worked non stop as a Ruby on Rails software engineer, some weeks ago I felt nostalgic about WordPress, so I took some courses in Udemy about developing WordPress themes and learning Tailwindcss.
What you are seeing right now is the result of these courses and my experience as a web developer. I have my favorite tools and programming languages (ruby, rails and rust) which I enjoy using. But I think every tool and framework serves its own purpose. Most part of the web is built on WordPress and I see an interesting challenge on the development of a theme, because it is the result of a fullstack web developer. Every fullstack developer should be able to deliver a good website.
Am I up to the challenge? There is only one way to know.
